I have to work hard to earn whatever money I make and I try to be as thrifty as possible. Cars are costly affairs and I do not see much point in getting a brand new one, hence I decided go for a used car, one that fits my limited budget of $ 5000. I was searching for used Japanese cars online can chanced upon Japanese car auctions. Since I admire the quality and workmanship of Japanese cars, the idea of buying an used Japanese car, direct from Japan through Japanese car auctions was very appealing.
From what I read, I found out that private buyers are not allowed to participate directly in Japan car auctions. Buyers such as me, would have to go through intermediaries ? export houses ? to indirectly take part in these auctions. These export firms have websites where they list the available cars and you can bid on these after you register.
You can choose and bid on any car you like. Since you cannot directly inspect a car, you must check out auction inspector?s report. Every car on auction is inspected before being put up for auction. Come auction date, the exporter will represent you and bid up to the amount you have set. If you are the highest bidder, you win the auction and have to make full payment in a week.
Once the payment is made, the exporter will ship your car to your address. Since, I was a newbie to these type of auctions, I ran a few checks. I checked whether the exporter was legitimate, the business agreement, the paperwork associated with buying imported cars etc.
Now, you?re probably asking why get a car from Japanese car auctions? Well, there are many reason. The average used car in Japan is in a much better condition, there are significant cost savings if you know what to bid on and the quality of Japanese cars is very good. Their pre-owned cars are also in better condition because of the stringent servicing requirements in Japan and the unpopularity of keeping old cars among locals. And, possible one of the main reasons I bought my car from an auction is that they have many new models used a year or so, on auction and there is a huge selection on offer.
If you want a used Japanese car that is in a very good state, buy your car from Japanese car auction. Follow this link to learn more about how you can buy cars from japan car auction.
